Biblical Foundations for spirit-empowered impact

The Toledo School of Ministry combines academics with practical ministry training in both church and urban settings. Under the guidance of seasoned pastors and ministry leaders, students will experience Scripture and its cultural application to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus. Vital parts of each program are the discovery of the student’s calling and spiritual giftedness as they are trained and deployed into ministry opportunities in the church and the local community.

Diploma in Biblical Theology and Ministry

The Toledo School of Ministry's flagship Two-Year Program offers our most comprehensive ministry training experience, meeting Mondays from 12:00–4:30 PM. This part-time program provides advanced biblical instruction, theological depth, practical ministry experience, and intentional mentorship designed for those preparing for impactful, long-term ministry leadership. Going beyond foundational training, students receive robust spiritual formation, equipping them with the character and competencies to confidently serve and lead in the Kingdom of God.

Ministry Foundations Track

The Ministry Foundations Track is a one-year course designed to ground students deeply in scripture, discipleship, and practical ministry skills. Meeting Tuesdays from 6:00–9:00 PM, students explore the Old and New Testament, grow in their commitment to Christ through intentional discipleship, and identify their God-given role in the Body of Christ. This track meets educational requirements for credentialing with most institutions, including Open Bible Churches, and utilizes the INSTE Global Bible College curriculum to build mature and effective servants of Christ.

Worship Leadership Track

The Worship Leadership Track is a one-year course that equips students to lead worship with both spiritual depth and practical skill. Meeting Mondays at 10:30 AM, this track blends biblical teaching, hands-on training, and personal formation to develop worship leaders who carry the presence of God with excellence and authenticity.

Certification and Affiliation

The Toledo School of Ministry is affiliated with Open Bible Churches and has been certified by the Commission on Biblical Education and Ministerial Training.

Open Bible Churches is an association of churches and ministers with a mission to globally make disciples, develop leaders, and multiply churches. Recognizing we need low-cost, pastor-led, ministry preparation, Open Bible Churches has certified the Toledo School of Ministry to remain purposefully affordable, easily accessible, practical, and intentionally hands-on.
