2. Is God angry? Why is He angry and why is He not angry with the human race?
In the bible God gets angry at human violence. He gets angry at powerful leaders who oppress other humans. And the thing that makes God more angry than anything else in the bible is Israel's constant covenant betrayal.
Anger can be a protective energy. This is how God's anger is expressed in the Bible. God is not a volatile angry being who loses his cool now and then. Rather God's anger is a measured and responsible response to injustice and evil.
7. How does someone wrestle with the subject of the wrath of God and the truth about God's nature and maintain a heart that is unoffended at who and what God is like?
The wrath of God; how is it that we can have a loving God, if we can be smitted by Him? The answer is that God's nature is for us that of a loving Father who wants us to be pure and spotless. Due to evil existing in the world and man having free will, people have a tendency to sin since the time of Adam and Eve. Our fallen nature is what God does not want, which is why it is only once we have repented of our sins and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior that we are saved and able to be in communion with God.
When you know the truth of God and His character, I find that I can't be upset with His plans for this world. Afterall, He is our loving Father and creator. God uses actions like those expected in the end times to bring true repentance. I can't help but think of Jonah and all that he went through. Jonah disobeyed God's orders at first, but in turn through his journey of being in the belly of a great fish for three days and deciding to do what was asked of him, he was able to show how serious it was to God that all of Nineveh repent and turn to God.
#2 Is God angry? Why is He angry or why is He not angry with the human race?
Let me start by defining anger: Anger is a God given emotion that gives us energy to protect someone else or ourselves, or to take action against an injustice, Anger itself is not wrong.
I do not believe God is angery, or angry with the human race. My God is a God of all power and self control. He is the maker of all things and creator of the ultimate plan and purpose for our lives. He is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. He is meriful and gracious. He knows all and gives great understanding to those who seek Him. We are a flawd tool in His hand, and He chose to reach the world with us. Unlike His Son, Jesus, we are sinful in nature. God pored His redemptive wrath out upon Jesus as he suffered and died on the cross to save us from our sins. We are giving grace to walk with Jesus, covered in His blood, saved from our sin and ultimate death and eternal disconnect with God.
So we see through God's actions , time and time again in the Bible, His love is greater than evil. There is no quick action in anger that God uses to crush evil. He warns the nations and tells of His plan for them, when we chose to ignore God's plan, nothing ever good comes out of it. He is a God of love and will see His plan for His people through to the end.
3. Why is the anger of God a difficult subject to consider, and why do many reject the doctrine of the wrath of God?
Wrath and anger are in apparent conflict with love. It is difficult to see how, if God is a God of love, He can have wrath toward people. We know He loves people even His enemies (after all we were all His enemies at some point), so how can He be angry? Righteous wrath. The truth is love is not the opposite of anger fear is. God is perfectly capable of anger. Some people say that God is not angry with people but rather with the sins they commit. Sin is a part of the fallen human nature. Sin separates us from God and we cannot separate ourselves from sin on our own. The only way to have a relationship with God is to repent of our sins and ask for forgiveness and then we are capable of that relationship. But, we need to then put in an effort to live for God and seek Him out, read His Word, pray, and have Christian fellowship. Anyway, God is not just angry at a sinful person. He is angry because He loves that person. If there is someone you love, say a sibling, and that person has messed up their life are you not angry? They are hurting you and themself and all the other people around them. Sure you are angry because they are hurting you and if you didn’t love that person that would be the only reason you are angry, but because you love them you are angrier that they are ruining their own life and you need to wait for them to choose to fix their life on their own. Do you see? God is angry with sinful people because He loves them. They are hurting themselves and others and separating themselves from Him.
People don’t know how to reconcile their misconception of a God who’s never angry and the passages of the Bible that explicitly state His wrath. This confusion is along the same lines of “If God is so good, why do bad things happen?” I’m not going to get into that right here, but for now, let’s just say that God never said we would have easy lives He said quite the opposite (John 16:33). People don’t want God to be angry because they think that means He must be mean. If He was mean He would have let a humanity He cares nothing about fester in their sin. He would have let us do whatever we want and never even tried to save us. Thank God He is not like that. He cares so much about us, He died for us. He allowed us to be saved. Do we get angry over issues we care nothing about? No. When we are passionate about things we get angry when they are in trouble. And we are ecstatic when things go well. God is the same way He wouldn’t be angry at people for causing pain to themselves and others if He didn’t love them.
#5 How do believers (and unbelievers) neglect, or misunderstand the doctrine of God’s wrath?
I believe we neglect, or misunderstand the wrath of God, because it has been falsely preached in one extreme or the other. Either the total wrath of God, without love, or the love of God, without his wrath. When the wrath of God is preached without love, it causes a human to be afraid of God and His judgments, and nobody wants a God like that. When love is preached without wrath, it produces a people who have no “fear of the Lord” and His holiness, and therefore have no reason to change their behavior to conform to Christ. We have reduced God and his holiness to conform to our image, and what we think He should be, by our standards and ideals.
God is good and faithful and love, but He is also just. Sin must be punished. His wrath is not reckless rage or uncontrollable anger, it is a precise and controlled response to the belittling of His holiness. It is divine justice against sin and evil.
#8
God is a faithful loving God, and he just wants our obedience and attention. gods anger is towards our nation and our justice system, society, and leader ship . gods anger is what is excepted in society, God has judgment on cities, nations and regions. We have to understand that when God brings shaking and judgment upon them, they are far more than the people he is angry with.. god’s wrath is because of sin . God can love our behavior, but he our sin. God doesn’t like our system that’s built with man’s pride love the darkness hatred of God, addiction, pornography, immortality, abortion unrepentant, ungodliness, human trafficking, in bad behavior. God said his love on Willis fully and freely and it’s a free gift. We hurt God when we’re lost, he loved us so much and hated who we were and what the fall had done to us. His soul was deeply agitated at our condition, and he was paying over the state of our lives. love is seen as acceptance and wrath is seen as rejection which God would never do to the lost remember, when Jesus spent a lot of time with the sinners in the tax collectors.? biblically hate and love I’m not the opposite. The opposite of love is not hatred it’s fear. God gives true holiness for free, excepting of the love of God, passionate holiness as life, joy and compassion versus religion holiness, which is fear, judgment, criticism, insecurity, and condemnation without passion, or joy what we honestly want is to connect authenticity with truth of the gospel by connecting God‘s heart, in feeling the power of being loved, valued and enjoyed by him “I want you God because you want me. We love you God because you loved us first.(john4:19)
Mathew 5:44
If we can see the great trouble that man is in related to his hatred of God, we will see the great solution in the heart of God that loves his enemies
Romans 1:32
Who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them
Prior to salvation, we are enemies of God by nature, dead on the inside powerless against send rejecting God's love despising him in our hearts. Our hearts made to be loved by him, find our identity and satisfy our desires and broken ways that leave us far, more broken and dysfunctional. The one who made us formed us, and loved us is jealous for so much more he wants more for our lives, our hearts and our futures. It hurts him to love us why? Because we were his enemies.
Mathew 5: 43-44-you have heard that it was said you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy, BUT I SAY TO YOU, BLESS YOUR ENEMIES, BLESS THOSE WHO CURSE YOU, DO GOOD TO THOSE WHO HATE YOU, AND PRAY FOR THOSE WHO SPITEFULLY USE YOU AND PERSECUTE YOU.
Ephesians 2:1:3
And you, he made you alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked, according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit, who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we once conducted ourselves in the loss of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh in the mind, and we’re by nature, children of wrath just as others
Psalm 2:1/
Jeremiah 25 :.31
We believers are confronted with a God, who will, without hesitation, bring shaking and judgment, to get the attention of his people and the nations of the world in the hopes that they will repair
Amos 3:8
Natural disaster and trouble from God’s hand in the prophetic books of the Bible were viewed as a mere whisper of the Lord a roar from the lion would come soon afterward
Mark 13:8
These birth pangs, which in the beginning a sorrows, are the beginning of a birthing process
John26:20-23
Most certainly, I say to you, that you will weep in the limit, but the world will rejoice and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy, a woman when she is in labor has sorrow because her hour has come, but as soon as she is giving birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish for the joy that the human has been born into the world. Therefore, you now have sorrow , but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice in your joy. No one can take from you I said you whatever you ask the father in my name he will give to you.
Luke 19:27
He said, but bring hear those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me
Matthew 24 :24
Jesus is enemies the nations will not receive him. They will hate him then, as they hate him now though they will have had the opportunity to hear the truth and receive the king .”Jesus said that the gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations before the end comes all the nations will have had witnesses, and will have been given the opportunity to turn from their stubbornness and submit to king before he comes to judge”
Isaiah, 63 :1
That when the time comes not one nation will have chosen to stand with him, he will be forced to slay them all, even as they declare war on him to keep what they feel is theirs
Matthew 24 :9
Jesus spoke in Matthew when all the nations will hit Christians in verse 10 through 12 Jesus described the unfolding drama of that day. many will be offended will betray one another, and will hate one another then many false prophets will rise up and do deceive many.
They will speak against the scarlet beast that this evil woman of revelation will be writing, as she attempts to maintain her influence (revelation 17:3) the scarlet beast will be the antichrist himself, though people won’t realize it at the time Christians will expose sin in one of Jesus second coming. The reality of Jesus, dealing with his enemies brutally (psalms 110:5-6)will upset many and Christians will be seen as enemies of the state and considered threat to the perceived peace it will be dark in a troubling time for the church.
It will be a dark and troubling time for the church. John described this religious system. This falls pride as being drunk with blood of the Saints and the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. (Revelation 17:6)
Revelation 17:1
The counterfeit bride of Christ describes a monstrous figure named mystery. Babylon, a woman, a raid in purple in scarlet and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand, a golden cup full of ad nominations, and the filthiness of her fornication. This woman is given the title of mystery Babylon by the Holy Spirit to interpret for us what she represents she’s not a literal woman, but I symbolic representation of global religion to come that will be mysterious in nature. Her second name Babylon indicates that she represents the wicked system of human wisdom in that authentic faith birth from heaven.(James 3:13-18) Babylon or earthly wisdom is earthly sensual, and money. James said, for where the envy and self seeking exist confusion, and every evil thing are there this mysterious Babylon religion will appeal at its core to the self, seeking and self-centered nature of mankind.
Mathew 5:44
if we can see the great trouble that man is in related to his hatred of God, we will see great solutions in the heart of God that loves his enemies and I
Revelation 17:6-7
This woman will be extremely alluring. Even John said he marveled at her deceptive beauty when he saw her in his vision, she person enough as a coming false religious system that will have economic my behind it economic prosperity will come to those aligned with this false religious put the prosper charity will be temporary and short-lived , the unifying nature of the system personified by mystery. Babylon in revelation, will bring together many different faiths previously in conflict with one another. A false sense of peace comes through false unity and agreement among sin the wicked man, the shallow surface promises, it makes will be ultimately empty.
Luke, 21 :26
The Bible is very clear that every single person on the planet will experience the coming trouble. Jesus described men’s hearts, failing them from fear, and the expectation of those things which are coming on earth.
